The new year offers us an opportunity to start fresh and take another step toward better health. For many folks, that step may be losing weight, eating healthier, exercising or a combination of all the above. A worthy cause to be sure, but as Time Magazine pointed out earlier this year, dieting is one of the most commonly broken New Year’s resolutions! We’re here to share some advice to help keep you on the healthy track in 2012.

In fact, you're likely to find luscious greens in abundance at the farmers market as well as apples, squash, pecans, broccoli and a slew of root veggies. One of our favorite ways to enjoy this seasonal bounty (and warm up our bellies) is by putting together a roasted vegetable medley.

Applesauce can become a special favorite and is a good "reset food" to help introduce infants to other produce. But with any food, especially those grown in nature, there are potential health risks involved if good safety practices aren’t applied.
